-           in CST, we will indicate the months and year of stay of the family

-           in Data Collation, we will indicate if it is only transient (less than 6 months) and permanent (greater than 6months)

-           it is important because knowing their origin will help us determine the culture of the family

-           42 y.o. – No formal education

-           5 y.o. – Not yet applicable (he/she is not yet expected to be studying that time)

 

Educational Attainment

-           Excluded age expected to be studying:

7 years old and below

-           8 years old will be regarded as having ‘no formal education’

-           6 years old (studying) – will be regarded as ‘presently studying’

 

Place

-           Within the community

-           Outside the community

-           Important to know the rate of employment in the community. If many answered ‘within’, it may indicate that they have a high employment rate. If many answered ‘outside’, it may indicate that they have low employment rate in their community.

Research on:

-           Baby – not applicable for they are not expected to be working

Activities:

1.       Courtesy call – know your leader

2.       Ocular Survey – prepare OS checklist (spot-mappers – accomplish 50%-75% of the map)

3.       Integrate with Foster family (1 pair = 1 foster family)

4.       Conduct KII to establish a community profile

-          Demographics: Total population (most recent); Number of families, number of households

-          List of community programs

-          Geography: boundaries, geohazardzones, areas contributing to vector problems

-          Formal and informal leaders

-          Etc.

5.       Conduct initial assessment of foster families

6.       PRE-TEST ST in your own community (at most 3 families)
